Black Friday & Cyber Monday Car Detailing Deals 2026
Black Friday falls on November 27 and Cyber Monday on November 30 this year. Until the sales actually land, this page is the honest version: what discounts in car care, what doesn't, and what is not worth waiting for.
How this is funded:we earn a commission if you buy through our links, at no extra cost to you. It never changes which product we recommend, and we’ll tell you plainly when we’d skip one. Full disclosure.
The dates, and why they matter less than they used to
Black Friday 2026 is Friday, November 27. Cyber Monday is Monday, November 30. Black Friday is always the day after Thanksgiving — the fourth Thursday in November — and Cyber Monday is the Monday straight after it.
But treating those as two shopping days is out of date. The event is now a window. Amazon’s 2025 Black Friday Week ran for twelve days, opening on November 20 and running through Cyber Monday on December 1, and retailers increasingly start early and stagger offers across the whole stretch. Amazon has not announced its 2026 dates at the time of writing, so we are not going to invent them — but the practical point stands: if you are only checking on the Friday, you are checking once in a two-week event.
That has a consequence worth internalising before you plan anything. Because the window is long and offers rotate, the item you want may be discounted on a Tuesday and back to normal by the weekend. Waiting for “Black Friday” as a single moment is a worse strategy than deciding in advance what you want and what price would make you buy it.
What actually discounts in car care — honestly
Start with the thing most deal pages won’t tell you: car care is not a category the major holiday pricing trackers break out. Adobe Analytics publishes discount depth by category every season — electronics, toys, apparel, televisions, computers, sporting goods, appliances, furniture — and there is no “car care” line. So if you see a confident “detailing products average 30% off on Black Friday,” that number came from nowhere. We are not going to produce one either.
What we can do is read across from the categories that are measured, because detailing gear does not sit in a single retail department — it is split across several of them.
Powered gear: the deepest discounting
Over Adobe’s 2025 holiday season (November 1 to December 31), peak discount depth ran highest in electronics at 30.9%, followed by toys at 29.6% and apparel at 25.1%. Appliances peaked at 20.2% and sporting goods at 20.3%. Those are the departments where polishers, wet/dry vacuums, pressure washers, blowers, steam cleaners and portable extractors actually live at retail. Combine that with the fact that they are the most expensive things on a detailing list, and powered equipment is clearly the part of the category where a percentage is worth real money.
Chemistry: rarely discounted much on its own
Single bottles are a different story, and the structure of the market explains why. Most detailing chemistry is already a low-ticket item, and the brands’ own Black Friday pages are not built around cutting the price of one bottle of shampoo. Chemical Guys’ standing Black Friday hub, for example, headlines “save up to 35%” and is organised around kits— starter, exterior, polishing, interior, ceramic — rather than individual products.
That is the honest read of how brand sales work in this category: the saving is in the bundle. You are rarely offered a meaningfully cheaper bottle; you are offered several bottles together at a better combined price. Which is great value if you wanted all of them and mediocre value if you wanted one.
Towels, brushes and accessories: bundle economics again
Microfiber, applicators and brushes follow the same pattern. The multipack is where the price per item drops, both in and out of a sale. If you need one drying towel, a November discount on a six-pack isn’t a saving — it is five towels you didn’t want.
The uncomfortable part: how many deals are real
Two independent pieces of price tracking are worth knowing before you plan your November around this.
Which? tracked 175 home, tech and health appliances across eight major retailers for the six months either side of Black Friday 2024. It found that 83% were cheaper or the same price on at least one occasion outside the four-week Black Friday window, and reported that on Black Friday itself none of the tracked deals were at their cheapest price of the year.
Visualping monitored 2,620 products across nine retailers daily from October 1 through December 1, 2025. It classed 33% as “fake deals” — cheaper earlier in the season than they were on Black Friday — and found those averaged 37% above the product’s lowest observed price. Notably, Home & Appliances and Tech & Electronics sat at the low end of that range while Travel and Games & Hobbies sat at the high end, which is mildly reassuring for the powered-equipment side of a detailing list.
The correct conclusion is not “Black Friday is a scam.” Two thirds of the tracked deals were genuine. The correct conclusion is that a struck-through price is not evidence of a good price, and that the sale being on is not a reason to buy. Know what you want first; let the price decide the timing, not the calendar.
Buy now or wait? By product class
This is the part that actually saves people money, so here it is plainly, class by class.
- Dual-action polishers — wait. The single highest-ticket item most detailers buy, and it sits squarely in the retail categories that discount hardest. If you have been putting one off, November is a sensible time to be watching.
- Vacuums, extractors and steam cleaners — wait. Same logic, and these are appliance-department products where holiday discounting is routine. Nothing about them changes year to year, so there is no penalty for timing it.
- Pressure washers — wait, with a caveat. They discount, but autumn is the tail of their season and stock thins out. If you find a genuinely good price, take it rather than waiting for a better one on the Friday.
- Multi-item kits — wait. This is where brand events concentrate, and where an “up to” headline figure is most likely to apply to the thing you actually want.
- Single bottles of soap, wax, dressing or cleaner — buy now. Small ticket, small percentage, small saving. If you need soap for this weekend’s wash, buying soap is the right call. The exception is if you were going to buy four things anyway — in that case, wait and look at kits.
- Microfiber and accessories — buy when you need them. Any real saving lives in multipack pricing, which is available all year.
- Anything with a deadline — buy now. A gift, a car you are selling, winter prep before the first salted road. Missing the deadline costs more than the discount was ever going to save.
How to tell a real deal from a decorated one
Four checks, all of which take less than a minute and all of which follow directly from the tracking data above.
- Check the price history, not the badge. A struck-through “list price” is set by the seller. The only number that means anything is what the item has actually been selling for over recent months.
- Read “up to” as the ceiling.“Up to 35% off kits” means one kit hit 35%. Check your kit.
- Watch the whole window, not the Friday. With a multi-week event and rotating offers, the best price on your specific item may land on an ordinary weekday.
- Decide your price before the sale starts. This is the one that actually works. If you know what a polisher is worth to you, you will recognise a real deal instantly and ignore a decorated one.
Our current picks, with live prices
Below are the picks we would point at today, grouped by the buy-now or wait logic above. Every price is pulled from a live retailer feed and stamped with the date it was checked — currently September 14, 2026 — and expires on its own rather than going stale. Where the retailer is reporting a genuine cut against its list price, that shows up under the button automatically. That struck-through figure is the retailer’s own claim, not ours about the item’s price history — which is exactly the distinction the research above is about.
Powered gear: the class most worth timing

The one to watch
Griot's Garage G9 Random Orbital Polisher
The highest-ticket item on most detailing lists and the classic 'someday' purchase. A random-orbital machine is the beginner-safe type, and a percentage off this is worth more in dollars than a percentage off anything else here.

Appliance-department pricing
RIDGID 4-Gallon Portable Wet/Dry Vac (4000RV)
A wet/dry vac is sold alongside the appliances and tools that see routine holiday discounting, and nothing about the product changes year to year - so there is no downside to timing it.
$147.60View on AmazonPrice as of September 14, 2026. #ad How we’re funded

Wait, but take a good price
Westinghouse ePX3050 Electric Pressure Washer
Pressure washers discount, but autumn is the tail of their season and stock thins. If a genuinely good price appears before the sale, take it rather than gambling on the Friday.

Only if the washer exists
Chemical Guys TORQ Professional Foam Cannon
A cannon is worthless without a pressure washer to run it. If you are buying both, buy the washer first and let the cannon follow - not the other way round.

Kits: where brand sales actually concentrate

The bundle case
Chemical Guys 14-Piece Arsenal Builder Car Wash Kit
Brand Black Friday events are built around kits rather than single bottles, so if you were going to buy four separate things anyway, this is the shape the saving usually takes.

Quality-first starter box
Griot's Garage Starter Car Care Kit
A smaller, less padded set from a brand better known for its tools. Count the towels and brushes rather than the bottles when you compare kits on a sale page.

A whole job in one box
Chemical Guys 9-Piece Interior Car Cleaning Kit
Cleaner, dressing, brushes and towels for the entire cabin. The clearest example of bundle economics: good value if you wanted most of it, poor value if you wanted one bottle.

Consumables: we would just buy these now

Buy it, wash the car
Chemical Guys Mr. Pink Super Suds Car Wash Soap
A pH-neutral shampoo is a low-ticket consumable that dilutes hard and lasts. A percentage off a bottle this size is not worth six weeks of waiting.

Protection before winter
Meguiar's Ultimate Liquid Wax
If the goal is protected paint before the weather turns, applying it in October beats saving a couple of dollars in December.

SONAX Wheel Cleaner Full Effect
Wheel chemistry is inexpensive year-round. The realistic Black Friday play here is a bundle, not a cheaper single bottle.

No reason to wait
Meguiar's Endurance Tire Gel
A tire gel is a few dollars and lasts months of applications. Buy it when you want your tires to look right, not when a calendar says to.

What happens on this page in November
When the sales go live, the deals we find will be posted here. Two rules govern what makes the list. First, it has to be a product that was already a pick of ours — we are not going to start recommending something because it went on sale. Second, the price has to be genuinely better than what the item has been sitting at, not merely lower than a list price the seller set.
Until then, this page carries no deal claims, no predicted percentages and no countdown urgency, because we don’t publish a discount we haven’t seen. The prices on the buttons above are the live ones, and they are the same prices we would show you in March. If you want the fast version: bookmark this page, decide now what you would pay for the one expensive thing you actually want, and ignore everything else in November.
The honest bottom line
Black Friday is worth using for exactly one part of a detailing list — the powered equipment and the kits — and largely irrelevant for the rest of it. The published data shows the deepest discounting in the retail categories that powered gear belongs to, and it also shows that a large share of “deals” are matched or beaten at other points in the year. Both things are true at once. Decide what you want before the window opens, let the price rather than the date decide when you buy, and don’t wait six weeks to save two dollars on a bottle of shampoo.
Frequently asked questions
When is Black Friday 2026?
Black Friday 2026 falls on Friday, November 27, and Cyber Monday on Monday, November 30. Black Friday is always the day after Thanksgiving, which is the fourth Thursday in November, and Cyber Monday is the Monday immediately after. In practice the sales window is much longer than those two days - Amazon's 2025 event, for example, ran for twelve days from November 20 through Cyber Monday on December 1.
Do car detailing products actually go on sale on Black Friday?
Some of it does, but not evenly, and nobody publishes a reliable 'average car care discount' - car care is not a category the major holiday pricing trackers break out, so any specific percentage you see quoted for detailing is someone's guess. What the published data does show is that the deepest discounting clusters in electronics and appliance-type categories, which is where powered detailing gear like polishers, vacuums and pressure washers sits at retail. Detailing brands also run their own events, and those are built around kits and bundles rather than single bottles.
Should I wait until Black Friday to buy detailing gear?
It depends entirely on what you are buying. For powered equipment and multi-item kits, waiting is usually reasonable - those are the higher-ticket items where a percentage is worth real money, and they sit in the retail categories that discount most. For a single bottle of soap, wax or tire dressing, waiting makes very little sense: the ticket is small, so the saving is small, and independent price tracking has repeatedly found that a large share of Black Friday prices are matched or beaten at other points in the year anyway.
Are Black Friday deals real, or just marketing?
Both, and it varies by product. Which? tracked 175 appliances across eight retailers for six months either side of Black Friday 2024 and found 83% were cheaper or the same price at least once outside the four-week sale window. A separate 2025 analysis by Visualping monitored 2,620 products across nine retailers and classed 33% as 'fake deals' - cheaper earlier in the season than on Black Friday itself - with those averaging 37% above the product's lowest observed price. The practical lesson is not that deals are fake, but that a struck-through list price is not evidence of one.
What does 'up to 35% off' actually mean?
It means at least one item in the promotion is 35% off, and says nothing about the rest. Detailing brands' own Black Friday pages typically headline an 'up to' figure across a kit range. Treat it as the ceiling, not the average, and check the specific product you want rather than the banner.
Will you post actual deals on this page?
Yes. When the sales go live in November we will post the ones that pass our own test - the product was already a pick of ours, and the price is genuinely better than what it has been sitting at. Until then this page carries no deal claims, because we do not publish a discount we have not seen. Prices on the buttons below are live and dated; when the retailer feed reports a real cut, it shows up there automatically.
