Accuracy and sourcing

Every factual claim on the site is grounded in a source we can point to: the manufacturer’s listing or manual for product specs, and published references — the International Detailing Association, the US EPA, established industry research — for technique and market claims. Roundups list what we consulted. Product specs are read from the listing on a dated visit, shown on the page, and where a figure isn’t stated we print “Not listed” rather than guess.

No fabrication

We do not invent reviews, testimonials, ratings, or before-and-after photos, and we do not claim to have lab-tested products we haven’t. Verdicts are our own, written from published specs and synthesized owner feedback. This is the single most important rule on the site; read how we pick for the full method.

Corrections

We get things wrong sometimes, and when we do we fix them in the open. If you spot an error — a wrong spec, an out-of-date claim, a product that’s been discontinued or reformulated — tell us. We check it against the source and, if you’re right, correct it and update the page’s “last updated” date. Material corrections are noted rather than quietly changed.

Updates and freshness

Prices update automatically from a live feed. Picks and rankings are reviewed periodically and refreshed when a better product appears, a pick is discontinued, or a formula changes — and the “last updated” date reflects that. We would rather a page say plainly when it was last reviewed than pretend to be eternally current.

Independence

Our recommendations are independent of the brands we cover. We don’t accept payment for rankings, free products in exchange for reviews, or sponsored placements, and affiliate commissions never change a pick. Where our funding comes from is spelled out in the affiliate disclosure.

Not professional advice

Two Bucket Club is written by an enthusiast, not a professional detailing shop. Detailing chemicals and machine tools can damage paint, trim or you if misused — always follow the product’s own instructions, test in an inconspicuous spot, and use appropriate protection. Our guidance is a well-researched starting point, not a guarantee of results on your specific vehicle.
